Visit of IWPC delegation

A nine (9) member Indian Women Press Corps (IWPC) delegation, led by Ms. Neerja Chowdhury, President IWPC visited Bhutan from 6-11 October 2010 at the invitation of Hon'ble Minister of Information and Communications, Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB). The delegation received audience with HM Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan, and called on Lyonchen Jigmi Y. Thinley, Prime Minister of Bhutan. The delegation met with the local print and audio-visual media and the Bhutanese think tanks. This was the first ever visit of the IWPC delegation to Bhutan.
