India-Bhutan Foundation

India-Bhutan Foundation was established in August 2003 by the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India with the objective of enhancing exchange and interaction among the peoples of both countries through activities in the areas of educational, cultural, scientific and technical fields.  The Foundation has at its disposal limited financing capacity to support small activities that conform to the above objectives.  The Foundation solicits ideas and proposals from Bhutanese/Indian citizens and the Non Governmental Organisations on studies, research, and similar activities, exchanges of a cultural/educational/scientific nature, programmes and activities such as seminars, work shops on subjects of common mutual interest etc. that can help achieving the objectives of the Foundation.

Such ideas/proposals should essentially detail the nature and objectives of the activity to be undertaken, financial support required, duration, anticipated outcome etc along with the prescribed application.  Terms of Reference and the Application format are available and down loadable from the web site: www.eoithimphu.org.  It shall be appreciated if such ideas/proposals in English are sent to The Secretary, India Bhutan Foundation at the Embassy of India, Thimphu and / Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi before 28th February 2006 for consideration of the Board of Directors scheduled to meet in April 2006.
