The India Bhutan Bilateral Trade Talks were held in New Delhi on 18-19 August 2011. The Bhutanese delegation was led by Mr. Sonam P. Wangdi, Director General, Department of Trade and included representatives from Ministries of Economic Affairs, Finance and Foreign Affairs. Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and included representatives from Ministries of Commerce, External Affairs and Finance. The two sides discussed entire gamut of issues of bilateral trade, including RGoB’s request for additional routes for trade with third countries and exempting Bhutan from export bans etc.
