Government of India releases cheques worth of Nu. 347.49 million for Project Tied Assistance Projects
Shri S. Koventhan, Second Secretary (Eco & Com), Indian Embassy, handed over cheque amounting to Nu. 347.49 million for GoI Project Tied Assistance project to GNHC on 03.02.2017.
This release of funds of worth Nu. 347.49 million pertains to the PTA projects (1) Construction of Audit Training Centre (2) Agriculture & Livestock Programme and (3) Professionalizing the Civil Service.
Government of India has committed Nu. 50,000 million in the 11thFYP to Royal Government of Bhutan. The detail break-up of the commitment are: Nu. 28,000 million for Project Tied Assistance (PTA), Nu. 8,500 million for Program Grant (PG) and Nu. 8,500 million for Small Development Projects (SDP) and Nu. 5000 for Economic Stimulus Plan (ESP). As on date, Government of India has released Nu. 16574 million for GoI PTA projects, Nu. 5525 million for Program Grant and Nu.5772 million for SDP and Nu. 4400 million for Economic Stimulus Plan to RGoB. In total, GoI has released Nu. 32,270 million to RGoB which is 65% of total committed allocation in the 11th Five Year Plan Period.
